Word Changing<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

As the world changes so does the definition of words and expression.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Sometimes this happens in the most alarming ways.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Living within Brexitland one gets to read a few words or expressions on a very regular basis which need to be listed in the New Brexitland Dictionary. These especially refers to ones used by the Rabid Right Wing Tory party, who supposedly run the country.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Various Examples<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Here are a few examples which illustrate what they keep repeating time and time again, and their real meaning. <\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

– World class or world class technology.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

It does not work.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

– Historical Important figure or individual.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Someone who was an imperialist, militarist, jingoist or who repressed & exploited people.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

– Military leader.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Militarist.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

– The ‘need to protect our coastal fishing waters after Brexit’. <\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Uncaring about ecology or our fellow creatures.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

– Investing in the future.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Making huge short term profits at the expense of long term social, economic, and ecological Improvements.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

– Housing Market.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Making even larger profits by the buying and selling of homes, while ignoring the basic human right to have a secure place to live in, and giving more individuals the chance to become rough sleepers.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

– Rough Sleeper.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

An individual of no worth as they can not fill the coffers of those who run the Rabid Right Wing Tory party or any of their mates.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

– Prime Ministerial Advisor.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Dominic Cummings.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

– Government Spokesman<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Dominic Cummings.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

– Government Chief Scientific Advisor<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Dominic Cummings.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

– Government Chief Medical Advisor<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

– Government Policy.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Anything Dominic Cummings says it should be.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

– Social Reform.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Any set of actions which will give the upper hand to the multinationals and Rabid Right Wing state. <\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

– Legal Reform.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Taking away workers rights in order to make yet larger profits.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

A totally uninformed view of the world. <\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Fake News.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

– Anything which is critical of government policy.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

How we describe it all.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Shambolic,<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Uncaring,<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Unthinking,<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Manipulative,<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Dystopian,<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

While making it all up as they go along.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Not a solution<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The only good thing about living in Brexitland is that nobody expects anything to ever work properly, and so there is no shock when it does no do so.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n
