{"id":1155,"date":"2021-05-09T07:07:46","date_gmt":"2021-05-09T06:07:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.theproject.me.uk\/?p=1155"},"modified":"2021-05-09T07:07:46","modified_gmt":"2021-05-09T06:07:46","slug":"still-waiting-for-answers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.theproject.me.uk\/?p=1155","title":{"rendered":"Still Waiting For Answers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><b>There are times when it is possible to engage upon active campaigning, and times when one needs to engage in more reflected activism.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><b>These last few weeks have been very much this way as <a href=\"http:\/\/campaignopposingpolicesurveillance.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Part Two of Tranche one of the Undercover Policing Inquiry<\/a> is taking place.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><b>This public inquiry in to the activities of various spycops has so far cost something in the region of \u00a340,000,000. <\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><b>Yet I, like many of the victims of the SDS [ Special Demonstration Squad ], are still waiting to find out exactly how we we spied upon.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><b>Part Three of Tranche One of the inquiry will now take place next year instead of this autumn, while Tranche Two will not start until 2023.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><b>There are still many questions which need to be addressed about just how I and many others we spied upon. <\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><b>It is taking to lot of effort to get any answers to these questions.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><b>You might well ask why this was done. <\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><b>It was done because we were campaigning to create a better world.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><b>Box 500<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><b>The SDS was a unit of the Metropolitan Police Special Branch.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><b>The spying reports produced by the SDS were rubber stamped <i>Box 500,<\/i><\/b> <b>which was code for them being passed on to MI5.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><b>It is now clear that many of the reports were seen by senior government ministers, or used in the summary intelligence they received.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><b>As the inquiry proceeds we will no doubt learn more about what happened to those of us who are spycop victims, but we still need to know who all the spycops were.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There are times when it is possible to engage upon active campaigning, and times when one needs to engage in more reflected activism.
