( 1973 ).<\/p>\n<p>Soylent Green is a film set within a future that has suffered<br \/>\nan ecological disaster. Food is sort, and there are other major<br \/>\npollution problems.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday I watched a 2006 film :<br \/>\nFlood.<\/p>\n<p>Flood is loosely based upon a Richard Doyle book.<br \/>\nIt is about a surge tide which coincides with a spring tide.<br \/>\nThe Thames barrier is raised, but it does not work,<br \/>\n&amp; Cockney Land ( London ) suffers a major flood.<\/p>\n<p>This is a timely film while sea levels rise as the result of<br \/>\nglobal warming.<\/p>\n<p>I notice that April 24th is &#8216;Walk to Work Day&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Lets hope it works, &amp; that a lot of people start to think about<br \/>\nthe health &amp; environmental benefits this will give.<\/p>\n<p>We really do need more people to think about how saving<br \/>\nthe environment is their personal responsibility.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Charlton Heston died a week back.
