There is an old saying which likens \u2018Fighting for Peace\u2019 to that
\nof screwing for virginity.<\/p>\n
There are co-called ecologists who claim that the problem of
\nclimate change can only be solved by the use of nukiller
\npower.<\/p>\n
They would seem to of forgotten that mining of Uranium,
\nand every thing else about nukiller power produces Climate
\nchanging damage.<\/p>\n
This says nothing of the other long term ecological mess
\nwhich nukes produce.<\/p>\n
We can stop climate change
\n– by cutting our energy use,
\n– by building wind farms,
\n– by better insulation of our homes,
\n&
\n– reverse things by growing more trees.<\/p>\n
What we can not do is work out how to safely store the
\nradioactive sludge which result from the use of nukiller
\npower,
\nor
\nguarantee to safeguard this very toxic waste into the coming
\nmillenniums.<\/p>\n
So when the likes of George Monbiot states that Nukes are the
\nanswer to Climate change,
\nthen all I can do is sing the words to that popular old song:
