Despite all of the various occupy protests of late.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I\u2019m still waiting for someone to mount a serious campaign to curb the power(s) of those who run the City of London Corporation.<\/p>\n

Here is a quot<\/a>e<\/a> which says a lot about just why I hate the City of
\nLondon Corporation.<\/p>\n

\u2018 Today, voting rights for the City of London\u2019s municipal
\nauthority are granted to its 32,000 businesses in addition to
\nresidents which now number fewer than 12,000. \u2019<\/p>\n

If you really want to see how this works out in practice,
\nthen take a look at the <\/a>City of London website.<\/p>\n

What also gets me is the way in which people may obtain the
\nFreedom of the City.<\/p>\n

Just how one may mount a serious campaign to challenge the
\npower(s) of the City of London Corporation is still open to
\ndebate,
\nbut challenged it must be.<\/p>\n

A True Cockney<\/strong><\/p>\n

I was born \u2018in the City of London in the City of London\u2019,
\nor to be more exact
\nSt Bartholomew\u2019s (known as Barts) Hospital.<\/p>\n

This means that I am a true Cockney as I was born within the sound
\nof Bow Bells.<\/p>\n

Though it\u2019s a long time since Barts has had a maternity unit,
\nand so there must be fewer & fewer cockneys.<\/p>\n

My birth certificate reads:\u00a0 \u2018 Born in the City of London in the City of London’.<\/p>\n

Thus I am a part of the last forgotten indigenous minority.<\/p>\n

If I were able to afford to move back to the City of London,
\nthen I would effectively be disenfranchised by the city vote.<\/p>\n

That is why challenging the power(s) of the City of London
