Following the news that both E.ON and RWE are pulling out of a
\nproject to building new nukiller plants in the UK,
\nthere has been a lot of speculation<\/a> about which companies will
\nbuy in to Horizon<\/a>.<\/p>\n

One of the companies which has been mentioned in this context is
\nWestinghouse<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Westinghouse already own the Springfields <\/a>plant in Lancashire
\nwhere nukiller fuel rods are manufactured.<\/p>\n

Westinghouse has been in the ownership of Toshiba since 2006.
\n<\/a><\/p>\n

Another subsidiary of\u00a0 Toshiba is the
\nToshiba Power System Company<\/a>,
\nwhich is heavily involved in the nukiller power industry.<\/p>\n

Here is a quote from their website: –
\n\u2018 The Power Systems Company’s capabilities cover the full
\nspectrum of power generation systems, including high-efficiency
\nthermal and hydro power generation, renewables such as
\ngeothermal and wind power, and nuclear power, all essential for
\nrealizing the stable electricity supply essential for powering our
\nmodern world.\u2019<\/p>\n

I doubt that many people in japan believe that line after the disaster at Fukushima.<\/p>\n

Toshiba needs to be reminded<\/a> about just how dangerous nukes can be.<\/p>\n

Following that you can also boycott Toshiba –
