Update.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve just spent some time updating this blog, and deleting many of those news stories which are now covered elsewhere.<\/p>\n

Many of those stories were about Fukushima, which you can find out more about via the links which I\u2019ve just added.<\/p>\n

There is however a lot about the ongoing disaster on Fukushima which comes down to speculation.<\/p>\n

It is also extremely worrying.<\/p>\n

What We Do Know.<\/strong><\/p>\n

– That there is a vast amount of radioactive water which is still leaking in to the Pacific.\u00a0 It will continue to do so for a long while in to the future.<\/p>\n

– That the Fukushima plant is in an extremely dangerous condition.<\/p>\n

&<\/p>\n

– That an earthquake or\u00a0 typhoon could topple the plant.<\/p>\n

What We Don\u2019t Know.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There are many questions about the plant which complicate any actions which might be done to solve all these problems.<\/p>\n

For example: –<\/p>\n

– Just what is now under the plant?<\/p>\n

&<\/p>\n

– Just where are the melted fuel rods to be found?<\/p>\n

What We Need To Know.<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Just how much radioactive matter has gone in the Pacific, and how much more is being added to it by the day?<\/p>\n

This will need to be worked on at international level.<\/p>\n

– How this has or will effect marine life,\u00a0 and the creatures which feed on them?<\/p>\n

There have been a lot of extremely worrying stories about
\ndiseased fish from Canada and the USA of late, but it is very
\ndifficult to get a full picture of what going on right now.\u00a0 I would
\nspeculate that we will soon be reading similar stories from
\nMexico.<\/p>\n

In order to get that full picture of that we will need to take in to
\naccount both ocean currents, and fish migration patterns.<\/p>\n

– Just how unstable the reactor buildings are right ?<\/p>\n

In order to do that we will need them to be looked at by both
\ncivil engineers and soil mechanics.<\/p>\n

This all needs to be done as a matter of urgency.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
