{"id":594,"date":"2015-10-05T06:17:07","date_gmt":"2015-10-05T05:17:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.theproject.me.uk\/?p=594"},"modified":"2015-10-05T06:17:07","modified_gmt":"2015-10-05T05:17:07","slug":"the-kings-new-centre-for-the-enhancement-of-magic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.theproject.me.uk\/?p=594","title":{"rendered":"The Kings New Centre For The Enhancement Of Magic"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>This is a story from from the EDF book of fairy stories and nursery rhymes.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><b>The Kings new centre for the enhancement of magic<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><b>There was once a king who was so poor, both financially and intellectually, that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/environment\/2015\/sep\/21\/george-osborne-chinese-nuclear-power-station-bradwell-essex\" target=\"_blank\">he decided to sell some of his kingdom to his fellow monarchs.<\/a><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><b>Of course this was not going to be easy to do, and so he announced that he would build <a href=\"http:\/\/www.economist.com\/news\/britain\/21667932-britains-nuclear-plans-look-over-expensive-and-over-reliant-china-china-syndrome\" target=\"_blank\">a new centre for the enhancement of magic.<\/a><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><b>He knew that this was going to be really difficult to do, and<a href=\"http:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/business\/2015\/sep\/21\/nuclear-plant-project-osbornes-commits-2bn-guarantee\" target=\"_blank\"> so he offered many bags of gold<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/business\/2015\/sep\/21\/nuclear-plant-project-osbornes-commits-2bn-guarantee\" target=\"_blank\"> t<\/a>o go with it.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><b>This was a very very popular move, or at least that is what his advisers told him.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><b>So he spent a lot more of the gold, which he had taken from his impoverished subjects, in producing many hand coloured maps to show <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bradwell_nuclear_power_station\" target=\"_blank\">what a wonderful place the new magic education centre might be<\/a>.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><b>One fine morning he opened the gates to his palace in order to show just what wonderful maps they were. <\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><b>While his advisers stood around and praised him for his visionary ideas.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><b>One small boy happened to pass by, and having never been allowed in the the palace before, [ as a result of all the heavy armoured guards with the shiny new weapons which surrounded the place ], he decided to take a look at what was going on.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><b>As luck would have it the small boy had not heard about these very fine maps, and so he was able to see what they really were.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><b>Thus he exclaimed:- \u00a0\u00a0 &#8216;<a href=\"http:\/\/maps.environment-agency.gov.uk\/wiyby\/wiybyController?value=bradwell%2C+essex&amp;submit.x=25&amp;submit.y=9&amp;lang=_e&amp;ep=map&amp;topic=fwa&amp;layerGroups=default&amp;scale=9&amp;textonly=off#x=600788&amp;y=208429&amp;lg=1,&amp;scale=9\" target=\"_blank\"> It&#8217;s wet and it&#8217;s water, and it&#8217;s water and it&#8217;s wet.&#8217;<\/a><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><b>This was because the map showed that much of the new magic education centre would soon be under the sea.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><b>This did not go down well for the king. So he ordered that the small boy be clapped in irons and thrown in to his deepest dungeon.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><b>Yet the small boy continued to shout:-\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gazette-news.co.uk\/news\/13788998.MP_opposed_to_Bradwell_nuclear_plans\/\" target=\"_blank\">&#8216; It&#8217;s wet and it&#8217;s water, and it&#8217;s water and it&#8217;s wet.&#8217;<\/a><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><b><a href=\"http:\/\/www.essexchronicle.co.uk\/Nuclear-plan-blight-Bradwell-s-community-200\/story-26715329-detail\/story.html#1\" target=\"_blank\">Yet it took many years for the people to hear his cries.<\/a><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><b><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theecologist.org\/News\/news_analysis\/2985650\/flamanville_nuclear_safety_fail_sounds_death_knell_for_hinkley_c.html\" target=\"_blank\">While the king is still trying to sell his new centre for the enhancement of magic.<\/a><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is a story from from the EDF book of fairy stories and nursery rhymes.
