{"id":745,"date":"2017-03-08T07:24:10","date_gmt":"2017-03-08T07:24:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.theproject.me.uk\/?p=745"},"modified":"2017-03-08T07:26:11","modified_gmt":"2017-03-08T07:26:11","slug":"new-drs-train-engine-names-or-prometheus-88","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.theproject.me.uk\/?p=745","title":{"rendered":"New DRS Train Engine Names, Or Prometheus 88 ?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"justify\"><strong>DRS is best know as the wholly owned subsidiary of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA), which hauls radioactive waste along the British railways network.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong>Direct Rail Services [ DRS ] are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.directrailservices.com\/news-articles\/2017\/02\/01\/class-88-arrival-in-the-uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">getting new class 88 engines<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong>The current issue of<a href=\"http:\/\/www.railwaymagazine.co.uk\/march-2017\/\" target=\"_blank\"> the Railway Magazine<\/a> lists some of the names which these new engines are being given.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong>They include Genesis, Pandora, and Prometheus.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong>Prometheus was <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Prometheus\" target=\"_blank\">the Greek god who who stole fire<\/a> from Mount Olympus and gave it to mankind.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong>There is another reason why this name is so apt: &#8211;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodreads.com\/book\/show\/984328.The_Prometheus_Crisis\" target=\"_blank\">The Promethus Crisis.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong>That is the title of a 1976 novel by Thomas N. Scortia, &amp; Frank M.
