{"id":778,"date":"2017-07-21T07:26:37","date_gmt":"2017-07-21T06:26:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.theproject.me.uk\/?p=778"},"modified":"2017-07-21T07:37:59","modified_gmt":"2017-07-21T06:37:59","slug":"a-little-light-reading-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.theproject.me.uk\/?p=778","title":{"rendered":"A Little Light Reading."},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: Cambria,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>Never let it be said that what I tend to read is frivolous in nature.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: Cambria,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Well that&#8217;s what happens when one engages in serious campaigning work.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Cambria,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>Yet needs must, as it is alleged they say.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Cambria,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>So here are a couple of reports which I&#8217;ve been reading of late.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/uploads\/system\/uploads\/attachment_data\/file\/629657\/CNPA_annual_report_and_accounts_for_2016-17.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-family: Cambria,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>Civil Nuclear Police Authority Annual Report &amp; Accounts 2016\/17 <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Cambria,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>That&#8217;s the body which runs the Civil Nuclear Constabulary, which describes itself as an Armed Force.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Cambria,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>The report was published on July 19<sup>th,<\/sup> and makes for some fascinating reading.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Cambria,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>Aside from a lot of statistical, financial, and pension payments data &#8211;\u00a0 <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Cambria,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>It lists the following Key Facts :- <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Cambria,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>&#8211; The CNC has over 1080 Authorised Firearms Officers.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Cambria,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>&#8211; It operates in 10 nukiller sites within the UK,\u00a0 but not Capenhurst, Chapelcross, Springfields, or Wylfa.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Cambria,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>&amp; <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Cambria,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>&#8211; It has a budget which is over \u00a3100 Million.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Cambria,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>Here is the line in the report which I like the best: &#8211; <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Cambria,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>&#8216;We are capable of carrying out our duties in a flexible and dynamic way, instilling in ourselves a clear sense of purpose.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Cambria,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b> If we use force we do so in a manner proportionate to the threat, recognising and upholding the principles enshrined in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.echr.coe.int\/Documents\/Convention_ENG.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">European Convention on Human Rights<\/a>.&#8217;<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Cambria,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>Thus the next time you are confronted by any armed member of the CNC &#8211; you can be assured that they will of read the convention, and will act with all of its provisions in mind &#8211; &#8211; &#8211; or so it is alleged to be that way.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Cambria,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>So now you know. <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"font-family: Cambria,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>Nukiller particles<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Cambria,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>This is the other really interesting report which every anti-nukiller -power activist should download and read.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sustainability.sellafieldsites.com\/files\/2013\/05\/PiE-Annual-Report-2015_16-FINAL-compressed.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-family: Cambria,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>Particles in the Environment\u00a0\u00a0 Annual Report for 2015\/16 and Forward Programme<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Cambria,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>This is a report which has been published by sellafield Ltd.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Cambria,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>It is the one in which they show the amount of radioactive particles which they have detected along the coast of Cumbria.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Cambria,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>Though those are just what they have managed to find in their sampling. <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Cambria,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Never let it be said that what I tend to read is frivolous in nature.
