On November 3rd it will be exactly 40 years since I first
\nbecome involved in the peace movement.<\/p>\n
I remember this exact date as I was on a sitdown outside of a
\ncompany which made military plane equipment that was
\nbeing used in Vietnam.<\/p>\n
It was my 19th birthday when I joined a demonstration
\noutside of a company called Elliott Automation.<\/p>\n
Elliott Automation made navigation equipment which was
\nused upon American Military Aircraft in Vietnam.<\/p>\n
I knew no one upon the demonstration, but felt that it was
\nimportant to show my opposition to the war<\/p>\n
What happened on the demonstration,
\n& information upon Elliott Automation,
\nappeared within Peace News: –
\nNovember 1st & 8th 1968.<\/p>\n
If you look very carefully:
\nyou can see me in a photo of the demonstration that was
\npublished within Peace News.<\/p>\n
The first copy of Peace News I ever purchased was sold to
\nme by a street seller outside of Holborn Tube station.<\/p>\n
It was dated November 8th 1968.<\/p>\n
While upon the demonstration I picked up a leaflet about
\nthe Peace Pledge Union ( PPU ).<\/p>\n
I joined the PPU,
\nstarted to read Peace News,
